Doxocopa cyane, the Mexican emperor or cyan emperor. This species is present in Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, Mexico and Colombia. Males show a brilliant electric-blue iridescence on the upperside of the wings, while the wings of the females lack this iridescence.
